Tribute without unnecessary words: Nieporęt remembers
Eighty-one years after the heroic uprising of Warsaw's inhabitants, the Mazovian land will once again pay homage to the fighters. On August 1, 2025, modest but eloquent commemorations will take place in Nieporęt. This is an opportunity to recall that true patriotism does not need spectacle.
The program of the 81st anniversary celebrations of the Warsaw Uprising in Nieporęt includes several key points. At 1 p.m., flowers will be laid at the parish cemetery at the graves of Home Army soldiers and at the site of the execution of an AK soldier in the Nieporęt forest. Then, at 4 p.m., a Holy Mass will be celebrated in intention for the fallen insurgents at the Parish of Our Lady in Nieporęt. The culminating moment will be the "W" hour at 5 p.m. on Freedom Square in Nieporęt, where flowers will also be laid. These events, rooted in tradition, emphasize the importance of remembering the heroes without modern embellishments.
